Formed: 1965
Styles: Darkwave Gothic Rock Post-Punk

Biography

Group from the German Post-Punk Pink Turns Blue scene, is an influential and relatively obscure formation. Formed in 1985 in the Cologne region around Marcus Giltjes, Tomas Elbern and Ruebi Walter, PTB will sign no less than seven albums in ten years of existence, notably participating in shaping an emerging Dark Wave current. Separated in 1994, the original members will meet for the first time in 2003 before disappearing briefly again to return in 2005 with a new lineup following the defection of Tomas Elbern, already weakened with his Escape With Romeo project. In this new form, the band, still active, has since been re-edited by the studio box and enriched its discography with three new releases.
