Biography

An English artist from the early 1990s, Polly Jean Harvey has since become a size in rock and a reference for many of us. With her 3 Grammy Awards and 6 albums, she went through the late 20th century dazzling her audience a little more. Indeed, as soon as To Bring You my love, PJ alone provides a large part of the instruments used on its albums, including vibraphone, percussion, keyboards and of course guitars. And for the rest, although they separated from the musicians who were part of the PJ Harvey band at the beginning, they remain in close collaboration with her (John Parish, Mick Harvey, Gore and Feldman and Rob Ellis). A well-known and appreciated artist, Radiohead's Tom Yorke invites her on Stories from the city, stories from the sea , an album recorded in New York City that has earned her world consecration. She also participated in Nick Cave and Tricky's albums. She comes back to us in 2004 with Uh Huh Her , an album where we find the simplicity and enthusiasm of her debut, with surprising joy in her texts and always the dose of eccentricity that characterizes her and that makes us never tire of it. Produced by Flood and John Parish, PJ Harvey's eighth album, White Chalk , was released in September 2007. Eric Drew Feldman (Captain Beefheart ) and Jim White (Dirty Three ) also collaborated on this project.
