Planet Rain
Biography
Planet Rain is the continuation of the project of Death Metal melodic Zweihander founded in 2006 in Gävle, Sweden by Pär Sving (Guitare / Clavier / Chant), Tommy Holmer (Battery), Jimmy Mattsson (Basse) and Johan Sjöblom (Guitare). In the first two years, the band recorded three demos successively, but experienced line-up difficulties. Bosse Öhman replaced Bosse Öhman as guitarist from 2007 to 2009, but was forced to give up due to hearing problems. Sami Mäki took his succession, allowing Planet Rain to begin his trilogy inspired by the universe of Lovecraft. A first album Antichthon was released in self-production in 2012, but the band again suffered a setback. Jimmy left the ship at the end of 2012, followed quickly by Sami. Marcus Karlsson (Basse) and Emil Westin Skogh (Guitare) were recruited into the combo in 2013 for the recording of the second part, The Fundamental Principles , which appeared in 2014 at Mighty Music. It reveals a more ambitious and progressive Death Metal inspired by the scene of the 1990s.
