Poem

Poem is a rock/progressive metal band formed in Athens (Greece) in 2006. Their music is oriented towards non-regular constructions specific to the Prog but does not hesitate to go flirting with Alternative Rock influences. Poem uses little shouting for a melancholic and emotionally sung voice. A first album, The Great Secret Show , was released in 2008 and received good feedback in the media of their home country, allowing the quartet to sign on a Greek label, Dromos Music. Still without leaving the national scale, the band manages to open among other things for Opeth, Pain Of Salvation, or Leprous, which are names that naturally come in mind listening to Poem's productions. Skein Syndrome comes out in 2016 and gets noticed this time outside the Helene borders: Amorphis , Textures , and Omnium Gatherum are taking Poem with them for a six-week European tour. A year later, Persefone embarks Poem for a 15-day tour across the old continent. Building on these experiences, the Greeks come back in early 2018 with a third album: Unique .
