
Powerwolf
Biography
In 2003, Charles and Matthew Greywolf (Basse, Guitar) who have been playing together for several years decided to play a Power-Metal band. They are joined by Stéfane Funèbre and Falk Maria Schlegel, but the band does not immediately find a singer suitable for the Powerwolf project. Still composing the first songs in Romania, Charles and Matthew met Attila Dorn, who studied opera at the Music Academy Of Bucharest. Passionate also about tales and legends about werewolves and religious stories the singer uses these themes in his words giving the group a particular identity. Return In Bloodred is their first album to be released in 2005 by Metal Blade Records followed by Lupus Dei two years later. Bible Of The Beast comes out in 2009 and gets a good reputation. Powerwolf then began to make a name in the world of Power-Metal thanks to this album. Stéfane Funebre left the combo in 2010 replaced by Thomas Diener who did not stay long, then by Roel Van Helden. Powerwolf broke the nail in 2011 with Blood Of The Saints their fourth album.
