Protest The Hero

Protest The Hero is a Canadian band from Emocore Barré, formed in Whitby in 1999 under the ephemeral name Happy Go Lucky. In 2002 and 2003 respectively, the eps Search For Th e Truth and A Calculated Use Of Sound were released. In 2004, the quintet won the Canadian Independent Music Award in the metal artist category, ahead of Alexisonfire. The following year, they recorded Kezia , the band's first real album, telling the story of a young woman named Kezia from the point of view of three different characters (a prison priest, a prison guard and Kezia). After a tour with bands like Anti Flag , Dragonforce , The Fall Of Troy , The Bled ... the band began in January 2007 the composition of Fortress (recorded in September of the same year), which will finally be released in January 2008. The third album was released in 2011, entitled: Scurrilous .
