Biography

Psykick Lyrikah began as a fairly classic French rap band with a self-produced street-tape, Lyrikal Teknik, in 2003. Mr Teddybear composes music, DJ Remo some sounds and scratches while Arm puts his voice on the instruments. In 2004, the Idwet label released a live album recorded at the Festival des Transmusicales de Rennes in 2002. That same year, Psykick Lyrikah then in the form of a duo (Mr Teddy Bear and Arm), released his first real album, Des Lumières Sous La Rainie . We discover a Hip-Hop disc that goes off the beaten track, with dark, cold and urban ambiances mornings of often abstract texts of Arm inspired by literature, black novels and night marches among others. Robert Le Magnifique , Abstrackt Keal Agram , Breton electronics activists and guitarist Olivier Mellano who has collaborated with Miossec and Dominique A , are invited on some tracks. The album gathers excellent reviews and begins to slowly make a name in the middle of the French Hip-Hop. Three years later, Olivier Mellano and Arm released Acte entirely based on the guitar/voice duo, reproducing old rearranged tracks as well as new compositions. In 2008, Vu D'Ici also took a new musical turn. Arm signs the music and texts, but surrounds Olivier Mellano and Robert Le Magnifique . Laetitia Sheriff , Iris and Dominique A are invited on a few tracks. Still in an artistic renewal process, Behind Me, the latest album by Psykick Lyrikah , more focused on Electro instruments, but still carried by heavy lyrics of Arm is released in 2011. It was followed in 2012 by the second part of Act II, and then by Never Trop Tard in 2013.
