Biography

The Queen Adreenas are coming straight from London. Formed in 2000 by Billy Freedom (drummer) and Orson Wajih (bassist), the band is quickly joined by guitarist Crispin Gray and charismatic singer Katie Jane Garside, both of whom came from the Daisy Chainsaw lights. They're chaining with the release of the first album, Taxidermy. The Queen Adreenas took their first start, Freedom, replaced by Pete Howard (The Clash). They then signed with Rough Trade (Belle & Sebastian , The Strokes ...), and released their second opus in 2002, Drink Me , with which they will be revealed to the French public. After this short collaboration, Rough Trade thanked them and Wajih. Melanie Garside, who will record their third album (at Little Indian Records) with the band in 2005 : The Butcher And The Butterfly . She will also leave the formation, replaced some time later by Paul Jackson. At the end of 2005, the Queen Adreena released their first live album, soberly called Live At The ICA, the opportunity to immortalize what makes this band strong, namely a stage performance approaching psychedelism, as Katie Jane offers us a show worthy of the greatest trances.
