Biography

Raintime was formed in 1999 in Italy. The band remained for a long time without a singer, and after an instrumental demo, the keyboardist Claudio Coassin passed behind the microphone and left his place as pianist to a newcomer, Andrea Corona. Now in full, the six competitors propose a first effort in 2005 entitled Tales From Sadness . The compositions on this album are to be classified both in the Death Mélodic but also in the Progressive. The Italians transformed the trial in 2007 with Flies And Lies , which marks a certain emancipation of the genre Progressive to lead to a high quality Death Metal Melodium, with some Power Metal hybridizations. Flies And Lies is noted for the power of his titles, but also for the presence of Beat It , taken over by Mickael Jackson in Death Melo version. This second opus gives Raintime the opportunity to play internationally, notably at the ProgPower USA 2007 festival with names like Sonata Arctica or After Forever . A third and final album, Psychomatic , was released in early 2010. More focused Rock than Death, much lighter than these predecessors, this record divides fans. In 2012, the group split up. Claudio Cossin (chant), Ivan Odorico (guitar) and Enrico Fabris (battery) nevertheless continue to work together and found Fake Idols .
