Rentokill is an engaged punk rock band formed in 1996 in Wiener Neustadt (Austria). After the release of three self-produced demos, Initiation (1999), 6 Days (2001) and Devils Change Faces (2003), the band recorded its first album, Back To Convenience, in 2004, for Rise or Rust Records (CD version) and Broken Heart Records (Vynil version). It is produced by Alan Douches ( Converge , Agnostic Front , Shai Hulud ) at the West West Side Music Studio and includes four tracks from the third demo. Faced with the enthusiasm and demand for this production, a new edition was launched in 2005 via the English labels Engineer Records and German, Vitaminpillen Records. A special edition was also made in 2006 for Japan, with a track bonus. That same year, Rentokill performed many concerts across Europe with Antillective, The Declined, PMX or Red Lights Flash. In December, the band played in Paris with Strike Anywhere and The Loved Ones. He also recorded a split, Provokant Wertvoll , with Red Lights Flash , released at Rise or Rust Records/Broken Heart Records (Austria). In 2007, Rentokill participated in an "internationalist" split, We're Not Enemies But Friends, with The Radioactive (Germany), The Bank Robbers (USA), Shows Trip Silence (Italy), Phone Trio and End Of Pipe (Brazil). It includes only titles on Back To Convenience . The band also took part in a tribute to Leatherface by reproducing the song "Trenchfoot". Rentokill's second album, AntiChorus , recorded in Vienna in spring 2006 and mastered by Alan Douches at the famous West West Side Studio, was released in May 2007 by Rude Records and No Reason Records. In 2008, the group saw a change of line-up with the departure of Markus (bass) and Lux (guitar), respectively replaced by Walter and Rüffi. In early 2009, Rentokill made a European tour with Strike Anywhere and Rise Against . The signing with the Union Label Group label in March allows Antichorus to be released in North America in April with a new artwork and a track bonus; followed a Canadian tour. At the same time, the ep The O.S.E. was released in March (Horrorbusiness Records, Shield Records, No Reason Records, Broken Heart Records, Toybomb Records), and Rentokill started a new European tour with High Five Drive.
