Rentokiller

Rentokiller was set up at the end of the summer of 2000 under the leadership of Marko Partanen (chant) and Jens Leinonen (guitar); They are joined by Toni Siira in the drums. The band recorded a first demo Nerves of the Few in December 2000. Then Erik Harald took the vacant position of bassist and the entire band made its first concert in January 2001. However, Toni Siira left the band and, in the summer of 2001, Johan Birgenius ( Heldback) joined the Rentokillers for a few concerts. In December 2001, a second demo set up by the band (Free from the tyranny of popular taste) and still more concerts helped them export their sound outside Sweden (Festival Fredericia in August 2002). Johan left the band in turn to devote himself to jazz studies, but Toni Siira returned to engage with the band a third demo (Antidote ) in December 2002; the group gets very good local reviews at the same time as a solid stage reputation.
