Biography

Retox emerged in 2011 under the impetus of former The Locust Justin Pearson (chant) and Gabe Serbian (battery). Californian hallucinating punk-hardcore will be featured on a first EP in 2010, released at Three One G, followed by Ugly Animals, a mini-album hosted 1 year later at Ipecac Recordings. The quartet will then shoot with The Dillinger Escape Plan, Tomahawk and OFF! Among other things, which will lead them to produce a second, more consistent album, YPLL , released by Epitaph in 2013. After that Gabe Serbian will go explore his desires, then he is replaced by Brian Evans. A split followed with Narrows the following year on Three One G, where Retox took over a title from The Cure (Fascination Street). The group is not unemployed since it returns in 2015 with Beneath California under the arm, still at Epitaph.
