Rhythm To The Madness
Biography
Rhythm To The Madness is first and foremost the project of two men: Klaas Voets, roadie of Justice but above all parolier and singer who previously performed in small bands like Nine Days Wonder or Think It Through, and Wim Berchmans, guitarist/composer of the same Justice and Loud And Clear. In 2006, during a Justice tour, they agreed to embark on a joint musical project. Klaas writes texts on which Wim comes to draw riffs. Two tracks are then recorded in the studio of close friends, without any sequels yet being considered. But "Till Your Well Runs Dry" and "Through The Mind's Eye" they like as long as they decide to release them in the form of K7 demo, with the help of Powered Records. The buzz is on. After a few surprise and noticed live appearances, such as during the closing concert of the Lintfabriek or the release show of Justice, Rhythm To The Madness gradually becomes a full-fledged band. Relying on the duo of the beginnings, they offer regular services from the rest of the last line-up of Justice with Daan Plasmeijer to the battery and Hans De Gryse to the bass.
In October 2007, a first EP, Soul Doubt , was released by Powered Records. It includes an intro, two original titles and a cover of Motörhead . The reception is always as good and the band starts to spin more and more regularly, this with different line-ups around Klaas and Wim. Current 2008, the band's composition officially stabilizes, and even grows with the arrival of a second guitarist, on the other hand a member of Rise And Fall, Cedric Goetgebuer. As the concerts continue, the recording of the first album is not slow and Weltschmerz is released in September 2008, still on the Belgian label.
