Biography

Born in 1982, Richard Walters spent most of his life in Oxford where, as a teenager, he took part in the scene of the city, notably by organizing acoustic evenings in various pubs in the city from the age of 16 years, for ten years, and continued learning several instruments. He joined Polysoul then Theremin in early 2000 and released his first solo album, Umbrella Songs EP, in May 2004. In the process he participated in the Mono Band project of Noel Hogan (guitarist of the feu-Cranberries ) which later became Arkitekt, and joined Missing Pieces for some time in singing and guitar.
Then noticed by Kevin of the indecent label Big Scary Monsters , he focuses on his second solo EP, Pilot Lights , which appeared in February '07. With this release, his fanbase (some still lean) grew, especially as one of his titles, "All At Sea", appeared unexpectedly in an episode of the Experts in Miami. Pursuing his journeyman and refining his old titles while creating new ones, he prepared his first album for which Kartel ( Groundation, House of Brothers...) signed him in 2008. He then moved to Paris to follow his French companion. In September of the same year, the first single "Brittle Bones" made its debut on the charts and after a few concerts, a second one landed in July 2009, the cover of "True Love Will Find You in the End" ( Daniel Johnston ). It is - finally - the end of September '09 that the collection 10 titles The Animal appears.
