Room 204
Biography
Room 204 began in duo (Mric Chaslerie / Pierre-Antoine Parois) in June 2001 as an instrumental guitar-drum set. The group develops melodic and rhythmic structures strongly tinted with math/noise rock incisions. Over the years, Room 204 has forged a personal universe that claims to be part of the American scene, Don Caballero and Oxes en ligne de mire. In 2003 a first eponymous album was released, which led the band to make some remarkable concerts including a Franco-Belgian tour at the end of the year with Chevreuil, for which they will release a 7" split (recorded by Peter Deimel at the Black Box studio and released at Effervescence). The second album, Trans Panda, will be released in 2005. The world of the duo is more harassing, more visceral. The tours now take them several times on the roads of Europe where they meet, among others, the Italian group G.I.Joe and the Austrian label Interstellar records, which will give birth later this year to a 10inch split bringing together these new friendships. Room 204 returned in 2010 with a third album after a break of almost 4 years. Balloons contains 8 tracks recorded and mixed by Jay Pellicci ( 31Knots , Deerhoof ) at Tiny Telephone in San Francisco and mastered by TJ Lipple (Aloha) at Silver Sonya, Washington DC. The record is made of vinyl by Kythibong (France) and on CD by Stiff Slack (Japan). Another four years later, the duo reformed and acquiesced with Nicolas Cueille ( Seal Of Quality ), who came to grow the ranks, as well as the band's sound on the fourth album Maximum Vegetation, still by Kythibong of course. line-up : Mric Chaslerie - Guitare Nicolas Cueille - Guitare Pierre-Antoine Parois - Batterie
