Biography

Sadist is a progressive Death/Thrash group in the line of Death or Cynic, originally from Genoa, Italy. Sadist was formed in 1990 by Tommy Talamanca (Guitare / Keyboard) and Peso (Batterie). Andy Marchini (Basse / Chant) and Sibylle Colin-Tocquaine (Chant), quickly replaced by Fabio Bocchiddi, joined the duo to create a first demo, Black Screams , which appeared at the end of 1991 and made them known in the underground environment. Nosferatu Records noticed them and released their first album, Above The Light, in 1993. The band then toured in France and the Netherlands with first games for Carcass and Samael. Chicco Parisi then replaced Andy on bass while Zanna took the place of the singer in 1995, then Sadist released his second album, Tribe , in 1996. Unfortunately at the end of the year Peso, Zanna and Chico left the band. Andy returns to bass, Trevor Nadir is recruited for singing and Oinos is the drummer. The new quartet then recorded a new album, Crust , which was released by Displeased Records in 1997, allowing Sadist to perform at the Wacken Open Air , a first for an Italian band. Alessio Spallarossa replaces Oinos behind the drums for the recording of Lego , their fourth album that was released at System Shock Records in 2000, but the artistic orientation is different and success is not at the rendezvous. Moral is not in good shape and Sadist pauses for a few years. It is then necessary to wait until 2005, for the Italians to take over the hair of the beast and re-record their first two albums. In 2007, they released an eponymous album by Beyond... Productions and launched several tours in Europe. Three years later Sadist composed a sixth album, Season In Silence.
