Saetia
Biography
Saetia , pronounce "Say-cha", was born in 1997 in New York. Two and a half years and 17 songs later, Saetia played her last concert at ABC No Rio, where the band delivered its first performance. This short period will suffice for the group to indelibly engrave their image within the independent scene emo hardcore. The band's name comes from a spelling error of "Saeta", a track composed by Miles Davis for the jazz album Sketches Of Spain. While Saetia is no longer a member of the group, it continues to support the soul of the group in such formations as Precision Auto (Colin Bartoldus), Hot Cross (Greg Drudy and Matt Smith), ErrorType 11 (Adam Marino) and Off Minor (Jamie Behar and Steve Roche). In 2022 the group announced, via Instagram, that they had repeated together for the first time in 24 years, the group will make a handful of dates in the USA at the end of 2022. In 2025 the band returned to disk with an EP named Tendrils.
