Originally from Zwolle (Netherlands), Sand Creek Massacre formed in late 2006 around Erik (battery) and Sander (sing). They were joined by Peter and Kim on guitars and Mark on bass. The band recorded a demo s/t in 2007 and then in 2008, Thijs replaced Sander with the song. In March 2009, Sand Creek Massacre released a split ep 7" with Swedish M:40's via Halvfabrikat (Sweden), Headnoise Records (Russia) and Ravachol (Switzerland). He continues with a split ep 12" with Years Of Decay (France), recorded in May 2009. First scheduled in August, the release of the latter was delayed in November and then early 2010 (via ten labels: Blackout Brigade 666, I Feel Good, Kink Records, Crashlanding Records, Subsociety, Deviance, Emergence Records, Subversive Ways, Tanker Records and Halvfabrikat). The band also made numerous concerts and tours, notably with Alpinist and M:40 and toured Eastern Europe with Melete in February 2010, followed by a few dates in Germany with Boredom. In April 2010, bass player Mark left the training and was replaced by Dave. With this renewed line-up, Sand Creek Massacre is on a major European tour in May/June, playing with Masakari and Shades Of Grey, as well as the Alerta Antifascista Fest. A new split with the Austrians in Boredom is expected to take place in 2010.
