Scar Symmetry
Biography
Scar Symmetry was formed in April 2004 in Avesta, Sweden, a country native to Death Metal Melodium. Recorded that year, Seeds Of Rebellion, their first demo, allows them to sign a contract to release their first album in 2005, Symmetric In Design. Christian Älvestam (Chant), Jonas Kjellgren (Guitare, Keyboard), Per Nilsson (Guitare, Claviers), Kenneth Seil (Basse) and Henrik Ohlsson (Battery) decided to play a modern melodic death of Swedish tradition, influenced by the evolutions of Soilwork and In Flames in particular. Increasing rapidly in fame, they signed with the giant Nuclear Blast Records, which appeared to be their second opus in the following year, entitled Pitch Black Progress. 2008 is a big year for the group, bringing together several events. First of all the release of the album Holographic Universe , which is ranked 65th in Austria and 37th in Finland. Then the band separated from its singer Christian Älvestam. This is how two singers, Roberth Karlsson, and Lars Palmqvist, first in a clear register and second in a growl, are recruited. With his new vocalists, Scar Symmetry released a new album the following year, called Dark Matters Dimensions. The next album, The Unseen Empire is scheduled for April 15, 2011. Line-up : Roberth Karlsson : Sing Death. Lars Palmqvist: Clear song. Jonas Kjellgren: Guitar. Per Nilsson: Guitar. Kenneth Seil : Bass. Henrik Ohlsson: Battery.
