Scarve
Biography
Scarve formed in 1994 in the East of France (Nancy more precisely) of the will of Patrick Martin (guitarist) and Dirk Verbeuren (beater) to mount a metal group both extreme, dark and technical. Joined by Sylvain Coudret (guitarist) the band recorded its first self-financed MCD Six Tears Of Sorrow in 1996. But it was not until 1998 that Scarve took off with the arrival of two singers including Guillaume Bideau (clear song). The many possibilities offered by the presence of two singers allow the band to quickly stand out. Translucence, their first record, pushes the nail and the band allows itself the luxury of recording with Daniel Bergstrand (producer of Meshuggah, Strapping Young Lad or In Flames). Scarve then attracted the lusts and Listable Records signed the group via an international contract. This collaboration will give birth to Luminiferus , the second disc of the combo. This will include the arrivals of Pierrick Valence (who cares for death voices) and Loïc Colin (bassiste) as well as an important tour with prestigious first parts: Nile , Behemoth , Tiamat , etc. Scarve's masterpiece was released in 2003 and is called Irradiant . Benefiting from a still huge sound concocted by Daniel Bergstrand and the performances of Fredrik Thordendal (Meshuggah ) and Gustaf Jorde (Defleshed ), Irradiant impresses the whole of the great metal community with its power and precision. 2007 is a chaotic year for Scarve: leaving her two singers (Bob de Watcha will help the band out for her performance at Hellfest), moving her drummer to Los Angeles, a new album (The Undercurrent ) less well received by critics...
