Melbourne Group formed around 2002 Schifosi - disgusting, dirty, in Italian - is the result of the association of members from several Australian groups such as Pisschrist and ABC Weapons. Originally a quartet, the band joined forces with a second guitarist, Jaquie, who was a defector of the late Terra Firma in 2003. It is on this date that the first 7 inches eponymous and split with Slackjaw are recorded. In 2004, Schifosi released a new 7-inch album entitled Half Lit World, followed by the first album Ill Winds from Outopia. The band sailed a year later for an American tour alongside Countdown To Armageddon and Kakistocracy, followed in 2006 by a trip to New Zealand with Scab. In 2007 Schifosi released a new ep, Absentium Existence .
