Biography

Jared Grabb - Vocals, Guitar, Banjo, Bass Chris Mackey - Bass, Guitar, Vocals
Scouts Honor was born in 2002 at the instigation of Jared Grabb. The latter is surrounded by Dustin Abbis and Nick Krebill, with whom he has already participated in several musical projects and embarks on a tour that allows him to play in more than 40 American cities including New York and San Francisco.
Following a performance in Illinois, Dustin and Jared are joined by Nick Schone and Jeremiah Lambert ( Angelstead ) for the recording of A Spirited Conversation Between a Blind Man and a Mute under the leadership of AJ Mogis ( Cursive , The Faint , Planes Mistaken For Stars ).
In the summer of 2003, Scouts Honor takes a little rest to allow its members to move forward in their parallel projects. On the return, the band was joined by a new drummer Thomas Satterfield but Jared had to face the simultaneous defections of Dustin Addis, Nick Shone and Jeremiah Lambert who preferred to favour their respective projects. Scouts Honor then became a duo and recorded several skeuds in this format between 2004 and 2005, including his first album Roots in Gasoline .
The signature with the label No Idea Records in 2005 gives him the opportunity to make his second album I Am The Dust . For the occasion Scouts Honor becomes a trio again with the arrival of Chris Mackey, but at the end of the recording, Thomas Satterfield throws the sponge leaving the band without drummer.
