Scum
Biography
Scum was created in 2002 in Oslo at the initiative of the American Casey Chaos leader of punk group Amen and Norwegian Mortiis (finally only present as guest). The goal is to give birth to a punk rock band with strong black metal influences or as they themselves say a black metal band with a punk attitude. The project takes time to put itself in place, due to the busy schedules of its instigators, but in autumn 2004, Scum is finally on the track with an extremely attractive line-up, the group having real leaders each in their part. Casey Chaos is therefore in charge of the song, while two former Emperors are found, guitarist Thomas "Samoth" Haugen (Zyklon and so many others in the past including Arcturus , Satyricon , Burzum , Gorgoroth ..) and drummer Bard "Faust" Eithun (ex-Thorns , Aborym ..) who plays in studio with a band for the first time since the fantastic In The Nightside Eclipse by Emperor , in 1994 (!). In addition to these three iconic characters, there are also Cosmocrator (Mindgrinder) as second guitarist and Happy Tom, the bassist of Turbonegro. The result was there in 2005, a first album of "black punk", the well-named Gospels For The Sick , ready to shake the crowds.
