Seefeel

Seefeel

Country: United Kingdom
Formed: 1992
Styles: Ambient Electro Shoegaze

Biography

Seefeel was born in London in 1992 as a band in the air of his time, affiliated with his early Dream Pop/Shoegaze movement. However, it is not in this field but rather in the field of electronic music that the formation is finally noticed. Always present, they end up composing most of London's music and it is finally quite logical that Wrap Records ( Drexciya , Chris Clark , Flying Lotus , Squarepusher , Aphex Twin , Boards of Canada ...) signed them in 1994. Within the British team, Seefeel stands out alongside some of his contemporaries and label neighbours as a reference for the emerging IDM. In 1996, however, three of the four members of the group created Scala , a less electronic side project that will survive their main project which ended in 1997 after a final show alongside Boards of Canada . Seefeel then left an orphan of one of his fathers a whole section of the electro. Each of its members has since continued to carry out various solo projects and collaborations under pseudonyms or in their own name (Sneakster, Sarah Peacock, Mark Clifford ...).
