Septicflesh
Biography
Septic Flesh is a Greek death metal band formed in March 1990 by Sotiris Vayenas (Guitare), Spiros Antoniou (Basse / Chant), and Christos Antoniou (Guitare). Very quickly, in December 1991, the band released a first ep, Temple Of The Lost Race , followed in 1994 by the first album Mystic Places Of Dawn produced by Magus Wampyr Daoloth (Rotting Christ keyboardist).
From 1991 to 1997, the line-up did not change and Septic Flesh took advantage of it to record a second disc, Esoptron . As early as The Ophidian Wheel in 1997, then on A Fallen Temple the following year, Natalie Rassoulis (Chant) joined the combo. The albums follow each other, Revolution DNA or Sumerian Daemons, Septic Flesh winning in fame for each new record.
In October 2003, the Greeks announced the end of Septic Flesh , each member focusing on its other projects (Chaostar , Nightfall , TheDevilWorx or Firewind for example). Yet, on the occasion of the Metal Healing festival in 2007, Septic Flesh decided to reform, taking advantage of a few months later to announce a 7th album by Season Of Mist, Communion. The project is of great scope since it foresees the opening of an orchestra and a choir, i.e. no less than 80 musicians and 32 singers. The record landed in April 2008 in the bins, hailed by the critic. Septic Flesh does not rely on her laurels and announces a new opus for 2011.
