Seth

Black-Metal Seth's band formed in Bordeaux in 1995. It consists of Heimoth (Claviers / Guitar), Alsvid (Battery), Black Falcon (Basse) and Vicomte Vampyr Arkames (Chant). A demo ( Apocalyptic Desires ) and an ep ( By Fire, Power Shall Be... ) were released suddenly in 1996 and 1997, but it was mainly with his first album, Les Blessures De L'Âme, which appeared at Season Of Mist, which Seth made known in 1998. With a quality of writing and a rare professionalism at that time in the French Black Metal milieu, Seth quickly became a name. After a split alongside Cultus Sanguine, the band obtained a contract with Osmose Productions to release L'Excellence in 2000 where Fenriz (Darkthrone) participated to write the lyrics of Let Me Be The Salt In Your Wound. This follows some changes in line-up since Black Falcon abandoned the project at the end of the year and was replaced by Helldryk in 2001. Nacht was recruited in 2000 as second guitarist and singer, but Vicomte Vampyr Arkames also left the ranks in 2001 before the recording of Divine-X which appeared in 2002. The album still marks an evolution with a more modern Black Metal composed of many samples and more clear singing. In 2003, Nacht left and then Cypriex (Guitare) and Black Messiah (Chant) entered the band to record the fourth album: Era-Decay , released in 2004 via Avantgarde Music. However, after the release of the album, Seth operated a consistent break in 2005 which lasted until September 2011. They then made a surprise appearance for an exclusive date in Germany alongside Bethlehem, Forgotten Tomb, Ahab, Aluk Todolo, Essenz and Hasserben. The band members decided to continue the adventure and made a mini tour in 2012, especially alongside Belenos and Glorior Belli. Season Of Mist also decides to re-release their cult album, Les Injuries De L'Ame . Seth has since worked on her fifth album, The Howling Spirit , which was released in 2013.
