Hardcore punk training between Portland and Austin, Severed Head Of State consists of Jack Control (Scorched Earth Policy , World Burns To Death ), Todd Burdette ( Tragedy , Deathreat , Warcry , His Hero Is Gone ), Kelly Halliburton ( Resist , Defiance ) and Chris Pfeffer ( J Church , Signal Lost , Scorched Earth Policy ). Active since 1999, the band accumulates 7 inches but manages to release Anathema Device, its first album, in 2003. In early 2006, Severed Head Of State addressed the disaster. Wanting to intervene in a rix to separate the belligerents, Jack Control is stabbed and remains a long time between life and death. Now restored, he and other members of the band are dedicated to writing the new album of Severed Head Of State. Power Hazard is expected to be released in April 2007 at Havoc Records. The group will then embark on a European tour through France.
