Biography

Jeff Mueller (Guitare, Chant) Jason Noble (Guitare, Chant) Todd Cook (Basse, Guitar) Kyle Crabtree (Battery, Guitar, Song) Composed of former Rodan, June Of 44 or Rachel's, Shipping News was formed in 1996 in Louisville, Kentucky. The following year, the band released Save Everything on Quarterstick Records, a landmark post/math-rock album that was followed in January 2001 by Very Soon, and in Pleasant Company. In 2001/2002, Shipping News recorded a series of very limited EPs ( Carrier , Sickening Bridge , Varianted ), which led in 2003 to a third album, Three-Four . The year 2004 will be marked by a long tour in the southern United States and the integration of Todd Cook into the bass. Flies The Fields released its fourth album in 2005. As a result, Shipping News is dedicated to the stage (RHAAA Lovely Festival, All Tomorrow's Parties, Touch and Go 25th Anniversary, toured in Japan and Europe) and other musical projects (Dead Child , Gold Jacket Club , Shannon Wright , Rachel's ). It will take until 2010, to release a new album, One Less Heartless To Fear , which reconnects with the aggressive fiber of the original post-rock.
