Silence Radio
Biography
Silence Radio was formed at the end of 2001 on the initiative of Antoine (song, guitar, drums), Thomas (bass, guitar, singing) and Mathaus (guitar). He soon left the band, leaving Antoine and Thomas alone to record a first Pop-Folk EP named Zwei Männer Und Ein Glockenspiel under John Trap. In 2003 the two competitors decided to set up a real stage band and made a call to Anthony to the drums and Nicolas with whom they made the aborted album Funerarium Party People. After a one-year break, Nicolas left the band and Silence Radio welcomed Brendan (laptop, keyboards) and Cyril (guitar, bass, keyboards) in his midst. The line-up is finally in place and seems to have found its voice by evolving in a Post-Punk sphere inspired by Fuzagi and various Electro groups in line with Ez3kiel, Sonic Youth and others... Finally stable, the band can go back to composing without worries, and this is done from the beginning of 2005 with a second EP titled Dancing With Bears (listening here) which includes old titles and new titles. The following year Silence Radio released its first album, Shetland Poetry .
