Silverstein
Biography
Less than a year after his birth in early 2000 in the southern Ontario region of Canada, Silverstein released a first EP (Summer's Stellar Gaze ) that allowed him to make a name for himself in the local scene (which had already seen Grade , .moneen. or Jersey among others). In '01, former guitarist Maharahj Neil Boshart joins the band and brings his know-how as well as many ideas that lead to a second EP ( When The Shadows Beam ) in 2002. Canada then looked a little more at the band, as did Victory Records boss Tony Brummel, who signed them in the fall of '02. So far self-produced and self-taught, Silverstein tastes the joys of international distribution and continental tours with their first LP When Broken Is Easily Fixed (May '03). Current 2005, the band toured with Aiden , Bayside or Hawthorne Heights and released its album Discovering The Waterfront , followed the following year by an 18 Candles compilation: The Early Years, featuring the band's first 2 EPs. The group goes back on the roads with in its Aiden track, It Dies Today and He Is Legend. July 2007 sees the release of Arrivals And Departures , Silverstein's 3rd LP and the beginning of a new series of concerts with Protest the Hero , The Devil Wears Prada or From Autumn To Ashes . Barely two years later, A Shipwreck In The Sand is poaching in the bins after a huge internet advertising campaign and various pieces revealed over the months.
