Biography

Sirenia is a Norwegian band from Metal Gothic / Symphony founded in 2001 by singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist Morten Veland after his departure from Tristania. He is also the only pillar of the training, with the other musicians changing regularly over the years with the exception of drummer Jonathan A. Perez, who will arrive in 2003, still serving today. The first album, At Sixes And Sevens , was released in 2002 by Napalm Records. He is recorded with the session singer Fabienne Gondamin, after which Henriette Bordvik holds this position; However, it will only remain until 2005, notably participating in An Elixir For Existence in 2004. The band then signed with Nuclear Blast Records and recruited singer Monika Pedersen; Nine Destinies And A Downfall was born in 2007. Then a new vocalist change took place in 2008, with the arrival of Ailyn. Three more opus were released on the German label before Sirenia returned to Napalm Records from 2014. The Seventh Life Path, in 2015, is the latest album for Ailyn, which leaves in July 2016. The Frenchman Emmanuelle Zoldan, who had already participated in choirs for more than ten years, became the new women's front; Dim Days Of Dolor appears at the end of the same year. The ninth album, Astral Arcane Aeons , is announced for October 2018.
