Siskiyou
Biography
Founded by two Great Lake Swimmers musicians, Colin Huebert and Erik Arnesen, in the late 2000s, Siskiyou (who is named after a mountainous county in northern California) recorded his first titles in hotel rooms on the band's last tour. While keeping this "naturalist" folk approach, Colin and Erik play with less resources, trying to transcribe their emotions with a minimal configuration. The first album, eponymous, was released in 20010 before the duo signed with Constellation. This is not the first foray of the label in this style, since Sandro Perri , Colin Stetson or Esmerine had already set the course. From duet, Siskiyou became a quartet and recorded his second album, Keep away the Dead, released in 2011. Nervous is the third album to be released in early 2015.
