Biography

The Canadians of Sixty Stories formed in the fall of '99. Paul Furgale (battery) who had just finished with the late band Painted Thin joined the 2 girls Jo and Kelly. The band recorded its first Care and Work demo, which allowed it to be noticed by Propagandhi who invited them on their tour. Samiam and Fugazi will do the same right after. In spring '01, the Canadian label Smallman Records signed them and in autumn it released their first CD which is actually composed of 7 tracks of the band + 5 tracks of Painted Thin that Paul had never been able to release. The opportunity then presents itself to shoot with Propagandhi for a month in Germany this time, then with Atom And His Package . At the beginning of '02, Kelly was replaced by Sarah on bass and the band started to floor on a new album (Anthem Red ) which will be released in October. Since then a lot of concerts have been performed even though a European tour planned for spring '03 has been cancelled. 2004 marks a hiatus in the life of the group as they devote themselves more to their respective studies.
