Slaughter To Prevail

Acrania guitarist Jack Simmons invited Alex Shikolai (Alex Terrible on youtube) to join him after the fall of his band We Are Obscurity in 2014. Alex and a few survivors, start working on a new project. The line up is very unstable with guitarists who sometimes only stay one year. Nevertheless, the duo was surrounded by Anton Poddyachy (Battery) and Mikhail Petrov (Basse) for recording the first album. However, Jack withdrew from the project in 2017 to devote himself to his other obligations. Slaughter To Prevail nevertheless managed to sign at Sumerian Records and release Misery Sermon in 2017. The album receives a mixed welcome, mainly because of the simplistic side of their songs. At the beginning of 2018, only Alex and Mikhail were left, when Evgeny Novikov, who was active in Katalepsy, was recruited in the summers. After some convincing singles, Jack Simmons decided to return to the band in 2020 followed by his colleague Dimitri Marmedov who had left the ship in 2015. Together they recorded and released Kostolom in 2021.
