Sleaford Mods
Biography
Sleaford Mods was born in 2007 in the Wetlands of Manchester, first as Jason Williamson's solo project in collaboration with sound engineer Simon Parfrement. The first releases were a very limited success, but as early as 2012, the singer was joined by Andrew Fearn, who replaced Parfrement. Quickly, the two musicians find their marks, both on stage and in studio, and the quality releases follow. Criticism, like the public, increasingly adheres to the Sleaford Mods formula: basic instrumentation and a flood of unbroken words exclaimed with rage. The personality of Williamson is at the centre of the group, as well as the political and social life of his country as well as the biggest rock stars, in his texts or on social media. Their album Divide And Exit , released in 2014, reveals them to the general public, especially in the UK since the music press discovers in Sleaford Mods a modern band in its approach to music but resolutely Punk and irreverent. A collaboration with Prodigy at the end of the same year was born for the song "Ibiza". 2015 marks the release of a new album Key Markets while the band is playing actively in Europe.
