Sleepytime Gorilla Museum

Sleepytime Gorilla Museum was born in the city of San Francisco in the late 1990s. Formed today by seven members, all being or having been musicians in strange and atypical projects (Idiot Flesh , Book of Knots , Skeleton Key , ...), the band created a strange and poetic universe, a cross between theatre, metal, fantastic and absurd. Constructing some of its instruments, developing a Gothic aesthetic, batcave, cabaret and staging its live performances, the training quickly gained a local reputation, particularly based on its concerts. His records then allowed the formation to gradually ensure a reputation throughout the planet among lovers of rock art, progressive music, seeing themselves affiliating the label of MEI (Metal In Opposition, logical derivative of the RIO, Rock In Opposition). First signed by Mimicry Records, the den of American bands (Estradasphere , Secret Chiefs 3 , Miasma and the Carousel Of Headless Horses ), formed by former guitarist Mr. Bungle , with whom she released her first two records, Grand Opening and Closing , and Of Natural History. Followed in 2007 by The End Records In Glorious Times.
