Biography
Slit formed in Marsa in Malta in 2001. Jo Kerr (Basse), Daniel Bezzina (Guitare), Frank Calleja (Chant) and Gerald (Battery) are trying to propel Slit and make the band known by turning to England with such things as Happy Face, Gutworm or Rotting Christ and selling two demos (Vision Of Life and Mandra in 2001 and 2002) that allow him to win a contract with Reward Records. The band stands out for its very aggressive style not so far from such formations as Threat Signal, Zuul Fx or The Haunted. In 2005, the band signed with the rising label Anticulture, which allows it to release its first album: Cronaca Nera . A year after Slit returns with Ode To Silence, but the split group in 2008. Slit was reformed in 2018 with virtually the same line-up, except for Daniel Said ( Beheaded , Dying Signals ) who replaces Gerald with the battery.
