The Snowden project takes its name from Joseph Heller's novel, Catch 22 , and begins its story in 2004 in Jordan Jeffares' room where he records a first demo. His brother, to say the least impressed, presents him to other musicians, equally packed, who decide to accompany him in the realization of a first eponymous EP. A record that will take them on the roads to New York, opening for artists such as The Unicorns, Xiu Xiu, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, and The Arcade Fire. In all logic, the combo signs on a label, in this case Jade Tree Records (Breather Resist , Texas Is The Reason , Denali , ...) which published in August 2006 their first long-lasting effort, Anti-Anti , this one benefiting from the production work of Erik Wofford ( Explosions In The Sky , My Morning Jacket , The Octopus Project ). 'Snowden's back on the road!', opening the following year for the Kings Of Leon.
