
Snowman
Biography
Born in Australia in 2002, the quartet quickly found its mark in a music mixing tribal and post-punk rhythmic assaults by releasing a first EP, Zombies on The Airwaves of Paris in 2004. Regularly quoted at the WAMI Awards, Snowman released his first long eponymous in 2006. The numerous radio passages to which the album is entitled allow them to appear in the first part of The Drones and Liars, with which the band maintains an obvious lineage. It was in 2008, with the release of The Horse, The Rat And The Swan - Mr. Drum's awakened nightmare, to paraphrase the title of a Liars album, that Snowman gained international fame and shot notably on the Old Continent with The Drones (again) and PVT. The group will even make a quick passage through the St.Malo Rock Road in 2009, replacing the raised foot The Horrors . The 4 Australians take advantage of this opportunity to settle in Britain. Then, radio silence for almost 18 months, the group soberly announcing, in November 2010, the upcoming release of Absence . Disc which will appear well, in 2011 and which will prove to be the last chapter of the group, the latter announcing its separation in the wake.
