Biography

Solefald was born in 1995 in Oslo, Norway, the initiative of a duo of thinking heads Cornelius Jakhelln and Lars A. Nedland. Originally rather from the Black Metal spheres, the project will quickly stand out from the mass, from its first album, The Linear Scaffold in 1997, to never return to the ranks again, incorporating brightly progressive elements, jazz, folk or electronics to their Metal. Fifteen years later the fire of the experiment still seems to inhabit them while released in November 2010 their seventh album: Norrøn Livskunst . After the latter, four-year hiatus for the band that finally dropped only one ep in 2014 ( Norrønasongen - Kosmopolis Nord ) mainly acoustic. The object is in reality only a mouthpiece to the additional album that follows the following year, World Metal - Kosmopolis Sud , released by Indie Recordings.
