Sons Of Apollo

Sons Of Apollo was born of Derek Sherinian's desire to create
a band with his former Dream Theater , Mike Portnoy, after the
two musicians shared the scene during a project (only live) with
Billy Sheehan ( Mr. Big , The Winery Dogs ) bass and Tony MacAlpine at the
guitar. The bassist will be recalled to form Sons Of Apollo;
and the supergroup is completed by Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal
guitars (ex Guns 'N Roses among others) and by Jeff Scott Soto behind the
( Trans Siberian Orchestra , ex Journey , ex Yngwie Malmsteen ).
The announcement of this line-up of killers is made in summer 2017.
Very quickly, first tracks are revealed on YouTube, and a first album
comes out in the autumn of the same year. Sons Of Apollo indicates wanting to play a
Metal without the demonstrative aspect proper to the genre Progressive but all in
remaining technical or even virtuoso.
