Biography

1995 will be the starting point of the Sparklehorse adventure, whose instigator is none other than Mark Linkous ( Dancing Hoods) who, during the past decade, has collaborated with such sizes as Goldfrapp, Denali, or Mary Timony. Ten years that have seen the birth, at more or less regular intervals of four albums, the first, Vivadixiesubmarinetransmissionplot , is edited by Capitol Records. In '95, the record company literally flashes on the demos of Linkous and then decides to release this first effort. Four years later, and after a 'near death experience', the guitarist-songwriter returned with a second effort, entitled Good Morning Spider, then a third, in 2001, distributed by EMI / Astralwerks, the grandiose It's A Wonderful Life. Three quick opus to new collaborations with notably Nina Persson ( Cardigans ), PJ Harvey , Tom Waits , and of course this long-time friend Dave Fridmann ( Mercury Rev , Flaming Lips , Thursday ,...). Sorry for the little...
2006 saw M. Linkous on LP with a fourth work, Dreamt for Light Years in the Belly of a Mountain, which we hope to be as rich as the previous, and a date at La Cigale (Paris) on 22 October and 25 at the Grand Mix (Lille). Impatient?
