Biography

Spitfire formed in the late 1990s around Matt Beck (Chant / Guitar), Jimmy Reeves (Basse) and Chris Raines (Battery) and followed directly with the release of a first EP Training Towards What's To Come at 2Jake Records (1998) and The Dead Next Door at Solid State in 1999. Then joined by Jon Spencer ( Scarlet ), a new EP The Slideshow Whiplash appeared before a first split in 2001.

Three years later, it was around Matt Beck, Chris Raines, John Spencer, Scottie Henry (Norma Jean ) and Tulloh ( Scarlet ) that Spitfire took shape. In 2006, a first album under the arm, Self Help , the combo was joined by Ian Sabo while Tulloh took the guitar. After some split rumors in 2007, Spitfire announced the release of a new album, without Ian Sabo and Scottie Henry. Cult Fiction (clash at Scarlet's Cult Classic) was released in 2008 but very quickly, the group returned to the dark with a single message: " Was Born. Started Cult. Fuldaughterd Prohecy. Died With Dignity. "
