Biography

Sprin is an American band from Los Angeles born in 2018 with a first eponymous release that same year, playing in a Slowcore inspired by Low and Duster. The band was led by Alexander Gregory Kent (Guitare / Piano / Chant) and April Gerloff (Basse / Chant) with Aidan Gould (Battery / Banjo / Flutes) on this first ep who left the training the following year. The band recruits Sylvie Simmons (Guitare) and Max Pretzker (Battery) for its first album released in 2020, As Lost Through Collision , laying the foundations of a style full of contrasts, between Slowcore and Noise. It was with a change of drummer, Clint Dodson, that the band released its second and last album, The Lamb As Effigy in 2023, pushing their style into their most extreme cuts, from Post-Hardcore, Drone, Darkwave, to experimental music. A month after the release of the record, while it receives a great international welcome, Sprin separates.
