Biography

Starkweather formed in 1989 in Philadelphia around Rennie Resmini (chant), Todd Forkin (guitars) and Harry Rosa (battery). After recording an EP, the band released its first LP in 1992, Crossbearer, which will later be republished on CD in 1994. The band will return the following year with the EP Into The Wire, before sinking into a deep musical mutism, except for the recording of a split with Season To Risk in 1996. But about a new album, you have to wait no less than 10 years to hear about Starkweather. Croatoan emerged in 2005 on the Candlelight label, with the additional competition of Paul Romano ( Mastodon ) for the artwork, guitarist Jim Winters and returning Liam Wilson to the bass who, meanwhile, had gone officer at The Dillinger Escape Plan. In 2007, Starkweather recorded 6 new compositions that will only be released in 2010 on This Sheltering Night on Deathwish Inc.
