Despite a clear freedom of creation within Cave In, in recent years Stephen Brodsky has always surprised us by multiplying his musical essays. Attests to this genius coup in 2005 with the release of You Are Awake or Asleep by New Idea Society, a record that should have made a little more shade to his cousin Perfect Pitch Black. And there was Brodsky again in 2006, already author of his third 'solo' effort called Octave Museum. The latter was preceded in 2000 by Expose Your Overdubs, then in 2001 by Ole Sunday. All this between an anthology Jupiter, and a Tides of Tomorrow far from being gross.
