Biography
Chris Pitzel (Battery) David Pitzel (Chant, Bass) Paul Rauch (Chant, Guitar) Originally from Los Angeles, Still Life is unanimously recognized as a pioneer of the hardcore emo scene. The combo began as the Monster Club in the late 1980s, until their singer left for Strife in 1991. From then on, Paul Rauch took over and the band took advantage of it to rename itself Still Life. Still Life released its first album, From Angry Heads With Skyward Eyes, on Goleta's label, Ebullition Records. From there, the combo founded its own label, The Sunflower Tribe , which it will use for future records. Still Life separated in 2003. Paul Rauch and David Pitzel will form The Old Ground , a significantly different band focusing on acoustic indie rock.
