Stockyard Stoics
Biography
Aron - Brendan guitar - Joe Piglet guitar - bass
Stockyard Stoics's story dates back to 1990 in Eugene, Oregon. Joe and B start playing together but the association doesn't last. The two colleagues disperse in various formations including The Rickets & The Redundants or the Readyman. At the end of the 90s, Joe and B moved to New York and founded Stockyard Stoics with a so-called Battery Abital. The band played the ABC No Rio and programmed the recording of its first album with a new drummer, JP, whom B met with the Readymans. Things are going well, but once the recording is finished, Stockyard Stoics breaks contact with Go Kart and splits in the wake for no apparent reason. Hence the group bursts in several directions. JP and B joined Leftöver Crack and MDC respectively, Joe married and Bobby resumed his studies. After this short break, the new Yorkae formation was reformed without Bobby however, replaced by Aron. Stockyard Stoics released their first self-prod album. Bankshot Records will publish the second, Disaster, in 2004. In 2005 the band had to face the start of JP, replaced by Ernie Lindsey (Criminal Class). Ella Sternberg (Beer Garden and Crybaby MacArthur) is temporarily recruited as a bass player leaving Joe with full singing latitude. Following Ernie Lindsey's return to Criminal Class (now Hush Hush Revolution), Stockyard Stoics found themselves without a drummer. Brian Alien gave them a hand in recording the split with The Filaments in 2007.
