Stream Of Passion

After working with Marcela Bovio on the album by Ayreon The Human Equation , Arjen A. Lucassen created Stream Of Passion in 2005 to continue to collaborate with the Mexican singer. Desiring to form a "real" band (unlike Ayreon where he played a lot of instruments and was supported by several guests), Lucassen took on the role of rhythm guitarist and recruited Lori Linstruth to lead guitars (who would become his manager and companion), keyboardist Alejandro Millán (the companion of Marcela Bovio at the time), bassist Johan van Stratum (the singer's future husband), and drummer Davy Mickers (who did not seem to have any history with any other member of Stream Of Passion, him). Embrace The Storm was released in 2005. Less progressive than the other projects of Arjen Lucassen, the titles are rather oriented between Goth Metal and Symphony. Taking advantage of the much less complex line-up than that of Ayreon, the band toured and published Live In The Real World in 2006. The following year, the two guitarists and the keyboard player left the training, replaced by Eric Hazebroek, Stepan Schultz, and Jeffrey Revet, respectively. The Flame Within was released in 2009, just before Davy Mickers was replaced behind the drums by Martijn Peters. This lin-up will publish Darker Days in 2011 and, following a crowdfunding campaign, A War Of Our Own in 2014. Stream Of Passion announces in April 2016 that the band will split at the end of the year, following the current tour. The last concert was given on December 28, 2016, and the live Memento immortalizes this last tour. Since then, we find singer Marcela Bovio in MayaN (with musicians from Epica , Delain ...), and bassist Johan van Stratum in VUUR , accompanied among others by Anneke van Giersbergen (not to be confused with this Vuur, attention).
