Formed in 2001 in Val d'Oise as a quartet, Strike Back released his first demo in 2001, followed by a second one year later. In 2004 Strike Back recorded his first album Straight from the 95 . The band then recruited a second guitarist in the person of Kwet and a new drummer, Chaos. Under this formation Strike Back recorded his second opus, Where I Stand in 2007.
